Seatwave
Consultant / Design Lead
2006
Seatwave was an early-to-market reseller of secondary event tickets and became the largest reseller in the UK and Europe. In 2006, they set out to turn an industry — largely run by dodgy touts — on its ear by creating a safe and secure marketplace for fans to buy and sell tickets to their favorite events. To win over both sellers and fans, we created a user experience that both simplified the traditional selling process and made buying tickets more transparent and fun for fans.
Project Scope
In 2006, I was hired by Seatwave to lead the design efforts for a new online ticket exchange. During this six-month assignment, I built and led a small London-based design team in creating the brand identity and overall user experience for both buyers and sellers of event tickets. Working closely with the leadership and engineering teams, we built the foundation for what would become the largest secondary ticket seller in Europe, leading to Ticketmaster's acquisition of Seatwave in 2014.
